Delete your Keyra account
Last updated: 29 October 2026
In the app or on the website
You can delete your Keyra Home account yourself at any time, in the Keyra app for Android or iOS or on keyrahome.com. Keyra is provided by Mattis Müller, trading as Keyra (see the legal notice).
- Open the Keyra app, or sign in on keyrahome.com.
- Open your Profile: on a phone under More → Profile, on a computer through your name in the sidebar.
- Optional: under Account, choose Export my data to download a copy of everything stored on your account.
- Under Account, choose Delete account and confirm with your password.
If you administer a home
If you are the only admin of a home that others use, first hand the admin role to another member, or delete the home in its settings under Danger zone → Delete this home. A home with a running paid plan can only be deleted once the plan is cancelled, on keyrahome.com under Settings → Subscription.
If you can't sign in
Reset your password from the sign-in page. If that doesn't help, write to privacy@keyrahome.com from your account's email address and ask us to delete the account. We may ask you to confirm the request, and delete the account within one month.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Immediately — your name, email address, profile picture and settings are anonymised, your access is permanently disabled and you leave all homes.
- Kept with the home — what you added to a home (posts, articles, photos, documents) belongs to the home and stays with its other members, without your name. Delete it beforehand if it should go too.
- Kept in anonymised form — who paid which bill and which stays took place, so that the shared annual cost statements of your co-owners stay correct. These entries can no longer be attributed to you.
- Kept for the statutory period — commercial and tax records such as cancellation confirmations, generally six to eight years. The email delivery log is deleted after three years.
Details are in our privacy notice, section 13.
Deleting only some data
You don't have to delete your account to remove data. Stays, posts, photos, documents and other entries can be deleted one by one, your name and profile picture can be changed under Profile → Personal Info, and an admin can delete a whole home with all its content.
